How to Enable or Disable a Payment Type

This tutorial will help you enable or disable a payment type in Ebmbook EPOS

 

• Settings screen: To enable or disable a payment type, first you should head to the Settings screen, which is located by clicking the upper left corner icon (the four white squares).

 

In the Settings screen, click on the button that says ‘Payment Types‘ (the square with the £ symbol) to enter that area of the EPOS.

• Enabling or disabling payments: Now, in the ‘Payment Types‘ screen, click on any option under the ‘Payment Name‘ column. In this case I selected ‘Cash‘.

 

To activate (enable) the payment type, click ‘Yes, Proceed‘. You’ll get a brief green text message at the top to confirm this. The ‘status‘ column on the right hand side will feature either a 1 or 0 in the ‘Cash‘ row. The 1 means the payment type is enabled, the 0 means it’s disabled. Just click on ‘Cash’ to disable it again.

 

A reminder: This tutorial is written with the notion that you’re accessing the Ebmbook software through a PC or laptop. If you are using a touchscreen terminal, tablet or smartphone, the same directions apply but with your finger instead of the mouse.
