How to Add or Update Employee Details
This tutorial will show you how to register a new user to access your Ebmbook EPOS software.
- First, log in to EBMBook EPOS. Then go into your Settings menu by clicking the upper left navigation icon (the four squares).
- Account & Users section: Click on the ‘Account & Users’ area in the Settings screen (circled in red).
- Add a new user: Click on ‘New User‘ button on the upper right corner (circled in red).
- Adding/editing employee details: Use the pop-up window to enter new user details or edit them for existing employees.
You can create set an user’s personal info, including date of birth and address, and set a access pin for them to log into the EPOS.
- When you’ve finished, click on ‘Create New‘. NOTE: The details in the below screenshot are examples for a fictional user, and any likenesses or information linked to any individual in real life is purely coincidental.
- To edit an employee: Click on any of the users to select them. A menu will emerge from the right side of the screen, with their details. Admins can press the ‘Access Status‘ (the blue button with the red stop symbol), for example, to allow users access into the EPOS.
- Top Buttons: The ‘Edit‘ button can allow you to edit a user once they’re selected. ‘New‘ allows you to create a new user.
- Lower Buttons: The ‘Delete‘ button can be used to remove a user. You can leave notes (memos) for them by using the ‘Notes‘ button. ‘Orders Taken‘ lists all the orders taken by the selected user.
Quick warning on editing admin details:
Only admins have a permission to update their own details. If an admin changes their login PIN, in order for the admin to take any further actions, s/he has to log out and log back in with a new PIN otherwise s/he will see an access denied message (“User authentication failed”).
A reminder: This tutorial is written with the notion that you’re accessing the EBMBook software through a PC or laptop. If you are using a touchscreen terminal, tablet or smartphone, the same directions apply but with your finger instead of the mouse.
